Why AYAM?
Many young adults drift away from active participation in the church during their college and early professional years due to isolation, a lack of community, or difficulty finding meaningful Catholic friendships.
Anselm Young Adults Ministry (AYAM) seeks to bridge this gap by creating opportunities for prayer, fellowship, service, and ongoing formation rooted in the Catholic faith. Inspired by the wisdom of St. Anselm of Canterbury, Anselm describes friendship as a sharing in the love of God. In one letter, he speaks of friendship as a "communion of charity" and prays that remebering one another in God's love might help them advance toward eternal life.
AYAM aims to cultivate a welcoming community where young adults can build meaningful relationships, deepen their faith, and become active participants in the life and mission of the parish. Through these efforts, we hope to help young adults encounter Christ more fully and grow as faithful disciples within the Church.
- Weekly Theology Talks: Weekly talks will provide consistent, structured formation that strengthens our young adult community, fosters authentic Catholic friendships, and encourages growth as faithful disciples of Christ.
- Monthly Socials: Monthly socials will provide opportunities for fellowship, relationship-building, and community in a relaxed and welcoming environment, helping young adults form meaningful friendships within the parish.
