Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church Bereavement Committee
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to support bereaved families and offer the gift of hospitality to the families and their guests by providing a reception on the church campus after the funeral Mass of a loved one. We set up, serve, and clean up receptions.
Our Needs:
Our members prepare/donate dishes of food to serve at reception. A basic standard menu is offered, and members volunteer different items to bring each time. Hospitality staples, such as paper goods, tablecloths, small arrangements of fresh flowers, etc. would always be welcomed.
Meetings:
We do not have extra meetings. Members volunteer to bring food, and if able to, commit also to serving the reception. All contact is through group email, when notice of a funeral and request of a reception has been scheduled with the parish office.
