The Process

The Catholic Church is the fullness of the Church that Jesus Christ established. Regardless of where you are in terms of embracing this truth, we have a process to help you understand, discern and when you are ready, to become fully Catholic.

For the non-baptized: The process for those who are not yet validly baptized into the Christian faith, is called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). The process is developed to take each individual in their particular situation and to assist them in discerning, being formed, and finally receiving their Sacraments of Initiation. The length of the process depends upon individual circumstances, but you can expect that adequate formation will take at least one year. For Baptized non-Catholics: For those who are baptized in a non-Catholic tradition, we have a process established to help you to get your questions answered, understand and discern Church teachings, and be received into full communion when you are ready. Reception into full communion will include reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Holy Communion. To learn more about the process or to begin, reach out to us at [email protected]
