Openings: We are currently seeking an Organist position - dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team!
Hours of Work : Sunday – 8AM-1 PM ; Wednesday – 4 PM-8:30 PM and as needed
for additional services (see below). This position is a part-time hourly position.
Job Description / Expectations of duties/responsibilities:
Knowledge of the Book of Divine Worship and Anglican patrimony in the Catholic
Church is desired, but not essential.
It is expected that confidentiality must be maintained in all matters.
In consideration of total cash and non-cash benefits, employees will diligently work to
the best of their ability.
Employee will report to the Director of Music regarding music/rehearsals/performances.
However, the administrative head is the Director of Formation.
Play and prepare music for the Sunday 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM masses.
Play for Wednesday rehearsals for the youth choirs and Adult Parish Choir
Help with sectional rehearsals when needed.
Play and prepare music for all additional masses and services, particularly those during
Holy Week, Christmas, and other significant parts of the liturgical year.
Play and prepare music for Parish Choir Concerts for Holy Week and All Saints/All
Souls
Play for Stations of the Cross every Friday during Lent
Play for any extra weekday feasts or solemnity masses.
Be the primary organist available to play for funerals and weddings held at OLA.
Give 1-2 solo recitals for the parish each year.
Plan organ music for masses.
Mandatory seasons/events of service – Holy Week, Pentecost, Christmas, all Solemnities,
all Funerals, all Weddings, and/or any date required by the Parish Pastor and/or the
Director of Formation.
Other duties as assigned.
